What is CBT Therapy

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of talking therapy that aims to help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings and behaviours and physical sensations are all closely interconnected.

Treatment Approach

CBT is commonly used to treat anxiety and depression but can be very useful for other difficulties too. When low or upset, individuals often fall into patterns of thinking and responding which can worsen how that person feels. CBT works to help the individual notice and change problematic thinking or behaviour patterns, so you can feel better.

CBT is a collaborative therapy where goals are set and worked towards.
