CBT Therapist and Counsellor in Clarkston and East Kilbride, Glasgow

About Me

I am a qualified CBT therapist and counsellor based in Glasgow. I support adults who may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, difficult life experiences or simply feeling that things have become harder to manage than they used to be.

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate and collaborative. I believe that coming to therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you have never spoken to a therapist before. My aim is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what you are experiencing.

I have worked in a range of charitable and community settings, providing counselling to people experiencing a variety of emotional, psychological and life challenges. Through this work, I have developed a deeper understanding of the many factors that can influence our mental health, including trauma, stress, relationships, identity and the pressures of everyday life.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked internationally within multicultural societies. This experience has had a lasting influence on the way I work with people. It has given me a strong appreciation of the different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives that shape who we are, and has helped me develop a culturally sensitive and open-minded approach to therapy.

I welcome clients of all ethnicities, nationalities, religions, genders and sexual orientations. I recognise that everyone's experiences are different, and I will always take the time to understand you as an individual rather than making assumptions about your background or circumstances.

In our sessions, we will work together to understand what is happening for you and identify practical ways to help you move forward. You will be met with compassion, warmth, acceptance and respect, whatever has brought you to therapy.

If you feel that you might benefit from talking to someone, please get in touch. You don't need to have everything figured out before making contact — we can start with a conversation about what you're looking for and whether I might be the right therapist for you.
